Check out this simple modern addition to a Victorian townhouse in Kensington, West London designed by Paul+O Architects.  The home was remodeled to achieve a single open plan in what was formerly four split units, unified by a simple double height extension at the rear of the home that opens to the garden at the rear.  The addition implements minimal design and simple materials effectively to provide an elegant distinction between the old and new.  I also like the changing quality of light coming through the motorized window wall as the panes overlap.  Read more here.
