crescent house

April 19, 2013

The Crescent House by Andrew Burns Architect is a stunningly beautiful pavilion created for the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation in Paddington, Sydney.  The curvilinear walls and perforated steel plane create a dynamic relationship between light and materials, changing throughout the day and night.  A powerful blurring of the distinction between art object and architecture.  Read more about the exhibit here.
