Junya Ishigami designed this lovely university studio... the thin columns look like a neverending forest of white trees, especially with the frameless glass perimeter.

I love these pieces by schubLaden... they are combing two of my favorite things - clean minimal design, and adaptive reuse. schubLaden finds old drawers and puts them together in a way that highlights their individuality.

I love the simple sketches that Ryuji Nakamura uses to help sell the design... These sketches helped win 2nd place in a competition for a kumamoto station. The idea is to use billboards and ivy to create a flowing interior/exterior space.

A friend of mine sent me a link to this project... The Herz Jesu Church in Munich by Allmann Sattler Wappner is quite a spectacular building. Those doors really are something special! I bet they've been engineered so well that you can open them with one hand! I'd love to visit and check them out....

This petting farm in almere, has got quite a few great features... Instead of doors it had shutters (separate shutters for animals and humans) which can be operated manually or automatically in accordance with daylight hours. Animals who want to sleep inside will have to learn to get in before the shutters close! The slats over constant ventilation, and also help define the structure as a light box shining all night..
Lovely.

I'm in dire need of a fruit bowl... OK, maybe dire is a bit of an exaggeration. But, I'd love to have a nice place to put my fruit. Something that would look as good as it would work.
