Na Kozinci

A series of 61 residences by Czech firm ADR... the structures use light and repetition to great affect. The materials and forms are quite simple, but small adjustments lend themselves to an interesting overall composition. I'd be curious to learn more about the income levels of the residents... I mean, have these been done on a budget, or are high income households expected to live in photocopy homes (lovely, but all very similar). My favorite condo project in Seattle is struggling, because of a discrepancy between intended buyers and actual buyers. The project was very well designed and constructed, but no one of the desired income level wants to live in a condo in its particular location... As someone who is ultimately attracted to good design, I still wouldn't want to live in a townhome exactly like my neighbor's. So, I just wonder... who is living here?

I was thinking of Domaine by Mithun.

    See http://www.urbnlivn.com/2008/01/22/intracorp-now-trying-to-dump-domaine/

I'll look for some images, but I'm not having any luck at the moment...

The big problem with Domaine, is that its location was chosen based on spectacular views... The developers then decided to create some very high end condos and townhomes to take advantage of the views...But, one side of the condo backs up to a very busy Aurora (99). Even ignoring the problems with the location, I've always wondered who in such an upper end price range would want to live in identical homes?

Its located just across from Canlis...

There are two sections, a condo mid-rise that backs up to Aurora and the townhome style residences further inland. I really like the mid-rise, but its just hard to convince people to spend a lot of money to live on Aurora... even with the great views. And the way that sound travels, I'm sure those units are very noisy.
