Sorry I missed the Bubbles
April 07, 2007Unfortunately, I didn't find out about this art exhibit in LA (which ended in February) until just now... I really think that interactive art is a spectacular and important way for people to begin to understand art and space. This particular exhibit at the Materials and Application Gallery in LA involved the installation of pneumatic bubbles arranged in pairs, which inflated and deflated dependent on the occupants' proximity to the bubbles. Its a great example of intelligent design and interactive architecture, where the occupants truly affect the outcome of the design and structure. For more information and photos, check out the bubble blog.
